Snippetly (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a reading app designed to help users build reading habits through sentence-based notifications and a clean, focused reading experience.
We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Snippetly app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.
Snippetly is intentionally built as a privacy-first, offline-first app. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any servers.
Snippetly does not collect, store, or transmit:
Your name
Email address
Phone number
Contacts
Location data
Device identifiers
Advertising identifiers
Usage analytics
Reading habits
Uploaded documents
Book content
Purchase history beyond what Apple provides
Snippetly does not use cookies, tracking technologies, fingerprinting, or any third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
We do not maintain any servers for user data.
Snippetly processes certain data only on your device to make the app function. This data never leaves your device and is never shared with us or any third party.
This includes:
Your library of books (built-in and uploaded)
Reading progress (current sentence index)
Notification settings and schedules
Font and reading preferences
Active book selection
Snippetly Pro unlock status (via Apple receipt or promo code)
All of this information is stored using Apple’s local on-device storage (UserDefaults and local files).
We do not have access to this information.
If you upload your own books (PDF or TXT), those files are stored only on your device.
We do not:
Upload these files to a server
Read or analyze their content
Share them with third parties
Deleting the Snippetly app removes all uploaded files permanently.
Snippetly schedules reading reminders and snippet notifications using Apple’s UserNotifications framework.
To enable notifications, iOS will ask for your permission.
Notifications are generated entirely on your device using:
Your reading progress
Your selected reading mode or schedule
Sentence content from your local book files
We do not receive any information about:
When notifications are delivered
What you tap
How often you open the app
If you choose to upgrade to Snippetly Pro, payment is processed securely through Apple’s App Store.
We do not receive:
Your payment information
Your credit card details
Your Apple ID
We only receive a confirmation from Apple that a purchase was completed or restored.
Promo code unlocks are handled locally and do not transmit data.
Snippetly does not share any data with:
Advertisers
Analytics companies
Data brokers
Social networks
Any other third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Snippetly is suitable for users of all ages, including children.
We do not collect personal information from children or adults.
Because Snippetly collects no personal data, we fully comply with:

Although Snippetly does not transmit or store user data on servers, we still prioritize security.
